Can I add one or more light_sources? If so, how can I do that? I want a
faint light in the 'hall' or a night light in the hall. Also, I want some
moonlight coming through a small window. How can I find the center of the
back wall?

You can have multiple light sources. I find that having two or three don't
slow down rendering too much, but there is a slow down.
If you are using MegaPov or 3.5 beta you can use light groups, but I don't
know if this cuts rendering time down or not.

Just add the extra light source code wherever you want in your scene.

If your wall is formed by a box, you can take the average of the points you
used to define the box and that will be the center of the box
