I'm new to the world of Raytracing in general, and especially POV-Ray, I was
wondering if there is a channel on IRC where people who love to render
works, in POV-Ray or some other Raytracing package, get together to chat on
IRC, and if so what net?

Yep. On DALNet, EFNet, or NewNet, drop by #povray. There's almost always
someone there. Don't worry if we're off-topic, just ask a question and
we'll get back on-topic for you :)
