I hope you are aware of the fact that you don't have to use INi files on the Mac at
all :-)
Please supply additional information (what exactly did you do) and perhaps the whole
INI file (if it is not too large, don't post large files in this group).

Please disregard my first post, I now know what you are doing wrong: You checked the
"Read INI File" option withhout reading the documentation... Yes, I know docs are
boring, but if you have trouble they are sometimes worth reading :-)
Please read the details about this option on page 16/17 of the Mac Read Me:
Read INI File
Checking this item will disable all other settings except for those in the "Scene"
pane. All file preferences will be read from the INI file with the scene file's
name. E.g. for the scene file "BlueBox.POV", an INI file named "BlueBox.INI" will be
looked for and read, if it is in the scene file's folder.
As it says, only if you *have* an INI file you can use this option, but as you can
see from the file prefs dialog as well as from the Mac Read Me and the POV-Ray 3.1
User Documentation, you can make all settings with the dialog. The INI file option is
just to allow easy use of other platform POV-Ray scene file settings which only have
INI files.
