Hello all,
Just as if it is time right now for that, I got a phone call from Steve
(sta### [at] phreakernet)
that he made a Script which acts as a Renderagent for LINUX.
Using his Script, LINUX Workstations can now be used as Render-PC's in a
SMPOV-Rendernetwork.
He already sent me something, however as I have no Linux running I can't try
this one.
However I can actually say that there will be (soon) a new Distri, with a
such RenderAgent ( its a sh-file).
Those who can't wait can already mail steve and support his project or beta
test the script.

That'll be me then.
For the record that's an MSN messenger address, only used as a spamtrap
for email. You'd be better off trying to reach me at steve at st4vs
point net if you're really interested.

Not now, soon. It's yet to render a frame without manual intervention,
but I'm getting there.
And not just Linux either: anything that has bash, sed, grep and povray
available, so long as it can mount the SMB fileshare managed by SMPOV.
So I'm pretty sure MacOS X, BSDs, et al are included.
Anyway... back to hacking.
Cheers,
Steve.
