In the world of modelling and animation, there is a very
interessant software which names Blender: http://www.blender3d.org
It exists an avanced script to export from this useful tool to
povray: http://jmsoler.free.fr/util/blenderfile/povanim.htm
Export is not limited to Povray alone. It is posssible to select
most famous patchs like megapov and mlpov.
You can find some examples of the capacities of this tool at

Now, there is a button to control the use, or not, of pvm
and a menu to select the output file type has been added
yesterday:
