Hi folks, there's a new release of planetGenesis at
planetGenesis is a Planet and Terrain generator written in Java.
planetGenesis generates 16 bit greyscale PNG bitmap textures as a basis
for height fields or displacement for planetary bodies and terrain
planetGenesis generates also generates POV or Wavefront meshes.
This is mainly a bug fix release however then are one or two nice,
new, possibly unstable new features that I've been working on.
*The default language would have an affect on the number formatting
leading to faulty the mesh files.
*The panel for loading planetGenesis saved files disabled folder
*The noise, combiner and function menus now have a preview option
that display the components results as a 3D landscape. This
feature requires Java 3D to be installed.
*There's a new noise engine, MultiFractal. It's a variant on Perlin's
noise that has smooth valleys and rough peaks.
*Worley has a new distance metric, called SineSquared.
