Two parts to this:
1. If you want to put this on a web site, you need to choose an image
format. Usually, you want either JPEG or GIF files, or possibly PNG
files, for web page images. For raytraced images and
photographic-quality images, you'll usually want either JPEG or
(possibly) PNG. Most web browsers are not going to be able to display
straight Photoshop files.
You can convert images to JPEG or GIF using most versions of Photoshop;
if you have an older version of Photoshop, one very good choice of image
converters is a shareware program called "GraphicConverter". You can
find it at http://www.lemkesoft.com/
2. To transfer the file,
a) if the Mac is on the Internet and the web server is running an FTP
server, use Fetch or Anarchy to upload the files to the web server.
b) if the Mac is on the Internet and the web server is not running an
FTP server, put an FTP server on the Mac, such as NetPresenz
(http://www.stairways.com/); then, go to the web server and use the FTP
client there to connect to the Macintosh, downloading the files.
c) But if you have access to both computers, just use a floppy disk.
Format a floppy for PC, put it in your Mac, and copy the JPEG/GIF/PNG
files to the floppy. Then, put the floppy in your PC and copy them off
the disk. (This may or may not work, depending on the age of your Mac's
operating system. But you can upgrade to OS 7.5.5 for free if you can
download it from Apple's web site--it is big--and OS 7.5.5 can do this.)
If you are using an older Mac OS, make sure you name the files with no
more than 8 characters plus 3 characters for the extensions (example:
penguin.jpg, spring.gif, floral.png).
And make sure you put the extensions on the files on the Macintosh,
before you copy them to the PC; it will make things easier.
