Greetings,
The POV-Ray Technical Assistance Group [TAG] has a new member. Join
me in welcoming Gilles Tran to our group. Gilles brings with him many
years of experience using POV-Ray and his talent with the program is
well known. Gilles is quite active in the French POV-Ray community and
this will give us greater strength as a team for providing support to
one of POV-Ray's largest foreign language groups.
As with the other TAG members Gilles has the authority to speak for
the POV-Team on this news server and will be helping to offer better
communications and support between the POV-Team and the POV-Ray users
in our community.

D'ailleurs, vu qu'on entend pratiquement jamais parler du TAG
dans les groupes de discussion, je suppose qu'ils répondent
principalement par email.
Quelle est la charge de travail que cela représente ? Dix ou
cent emails par semaine ?

Les membres du TAG sont en fait très actifs dans les forums, non ? Ken
Tyler, Warp... même s'ils ne signent pas officiellement "TAG".
D'après ce que je crois comprendre, il s'agit autant de "superutilisateurs"
répondant aux questions que d'un groupe permettant de faire le relais entre
ce qui se dit dans la communauté POV (et en particulier dans les forums) et
le POV-Team. J'imagine que la création du TAG a répondu à un problème
ancien, à savoir que la réserve du Team, tout en les protégeant de la
pression (du style "yaka faukon, je veux ci, je veux ça"), les éloignait
aussi du bon peuple povien. Le TAG semble faire office de
tampon/amortisseur/filtreur. C'est d'ailleurs bigrement intéressant d'un
point de vue organisationnel.
