You know the 8 notes that play when a render completes? I just realized it is
from a song from the cartoon movie Mulan. The words sung are "you will bring
honor to us all". The song is in the beginning of the movie when Mulan is being
groomed to be a bride. I was doing renders while watching the movie again and
the song was playing as I just finished a render! Those sneaky developers :)

Though, maybe we ought to start a new easter-egg / inside joke thing, where we
do a spoof on "all you base are belong to us":
"all you honor are bring to us"
Maybe if you can dig up the sheet music for those 8 notes.... :D

Or maybe Disney stole the little theme from POV-ray?! :-O The original MULAN
was released in 1998; I wonder how long that 8-note phrase has been a part of
the program.
By the way: At some point over the past 3 years(?), I decided to turn off all of
those sounds... because I noticed that they could subtly interfere with a
particular aspect of the rendering process. I honestly don't remember exactly
how or when it occurred, or what scene I was coding or running at the time, but
I tracked down the problem to those sounds. I think I was attempting to do
something before the sound actually ended. Anyway, I haven't turned them back on
since then-- just as a safety measure. Maybe it was a Windows 7 or 10 glitch
instead?

I haven't seen Mulan, and it's been many years since this Linuxhead has
heard the POV-Ray completion sound, but this is what I can remember from
