Please, add geometry import and export to povray, maybe .obj or other formats.

Import for .obj: Happens to have been added to an experimental branch
/just right now/, soon to be included in official POV-Ray ;)

Probably not the priority, but exporting to formats supported by 3d-printers
would be nice. I heard that stl is used by many printers.

At the moment, there are few, or maybe no tools if one wants to print a
simple thing with a 3d printer. Cad software is awfully too complicated for
simple things. Povray is simple enough. A little description with povray and an
export would be nice.

Have a look at HgPovray; it does indeed feature tesselation and STL export.

Alternatively, OpenSCAD may be a tool to have a look at (though I
confess I prefer the POV-Ray syntax).

Export of generic POV-Ray geometry needs tesselation, which hasn't been
implemented in official POV-Ray yet.

Look at the already mentioned HgPovray.

Hgpovray is poorly documented and its website is buggy and incomplete.

Nevermind, I found another website for hgPovRay, which is complete.
Thanks.
