Hi,

(CC BY NC SA 3.0)) HDR panoramic images in the sIBL archive on hdrlabs.com (many
places around the world (mostly United States though)). The images in the sIBL
archive can be used as environment maps in your scenes. I purposely sequenced
them in order, and with an index in the description area. If you have a
compatible (new enough, etc.) browser (or app) and device, you can interactively
look around (press pause on the video for more time to look around (you can
still look around while paused)). This video contains the processed images - to
get the original HDR image files, download the corresponding zip file at
hdrlabs.com

With a smartphone, you can move the phone to look around. With a computer, use
the "pan button" at top-left corner or drag pointer or WASD keys. If you see a
warped looking image, you're not seeing it right (not compatible browser or
something). You also may need to set the quality to the highest your system and
internet connection can take (up to 4k resolution).

Sorry for all this "how to view" info... I don't know how many people already
know about YouTube's 360 vr video capability or how many people have compatible
devices/systems.

The only one I've seen is this sketch (written by Norm MacDonald). Blew
my mind when I stumbled on it. (win8 standard FF)

That is a good one. I saw a 360 vr video filmed at the Large Hadron Collider.
The LHC is something that really shows that 360 video is really useful.

If anyone wants to see my other 360 video (this one is raytraced):

This is great. And I can use it as a reference for my sky rendering, thank you.

Thanks for saying that. And you're welcome! I'm glad people are finding it
useful.

Laser, here's my latest POV-Ray animation: some fastclouds.inc, a plane and a

stereo:

I'm playing with ambisonics sound synthesis and the ambiX ambisonic plug-in
suite.
The current YouTube player does not yet support ambisonics sound synthesis, but
this feature will be added in the near future. Here's some recommendations for
Video and Audio encoding and a link to a test video:

That will be rather interesting. I looked at both of your omni-directional
videos (the infinite mirror one as well). I didn't hear any sound but that's
probably because (as you said) youtube player doesn't support ambisonics yet (or
maybe I need the plugin, or both).

BTW, I wanted to do a "walk-through" on my 360 art gallery video, but with all
the distributed raytracing (soft shadows, glossy/fuzzy reflection,
antialiasing), and youtube wanting at least 24 fps (though, for the sIBL one, I
made it 10 fps and it still worked), and high-res, the render-time would have
been too much. I might do a version with no reflection on the floor, no soft
shadows, no brick (therefore, no bump mapping on the walls), and no antialiasing
(the brick is really what made antialiasing necessary).

Futuristic City Under Construction...

Cool!
I like abstractions.
I don't know how to make it.

Thanks! I've seen your name a lot (I look at "Image Digest" every day). It's
called a mandelbox fractal. I wrote a blog post about it (including algorithm).
There are many better webpages on how to do it though. Here's my blog
(mandelbox is the most recent entry):

http://mrmcsoftware.wordpress.com

BTW, my futuristic city video has the worst case of youtube quality reduction
(due to compression) of any of my videos. I'm glad you could look past the
reduced quality. :-)

Problem: I very badly understand the English texts. I use an online translator.
Translator very bad. Drunk programmers wrote him.
