Hey i thought that mesh's were solid and as such could be used with clipped_by
function.  Have I got it wrong?  I looked over the discussions had about meshes
but couldn't see it said.  I would really appreciate it if someone could say
explicitely one way or other.

clipped_by works the same whatever solid you use. While intersection and 
difference give a closed, solid resulting object, the part removed by clipped_by 
are left open.

Solid meshes only produce solid, closed objects if the meshes themselves are
closed and solid. If they're not closed, then they behave just like heightfield
objects.
