Can I change the default render window size and position?

(Silly) reason for asking: my Windows taskbar is 2 rows high and thus hides
the horizontal scrollbar. So have to first decrease the windows height and
then drag it higher. :-(

I don't know if this would be useful for you or not, but, personally I
always prefer to have the taskbar on the side of the screen instead of
the (default) bottom. This way it reduces the larger dimension of the
screen instead of making the smaller dimension even smaller.
Don't know if a two-row taskbar would be too wide this way or not.
But it's easy to try it, and just as easy to restore if it turns out to
be unsuitable. (Just drag the taskbar to either side or top/bottom.)

Thanks for the tip, Larry. Of course placing the toolbar on the right of the
screen wouldn't be any good, because then it would cover the vertical
scrollbar. :-)
But even placing it left would hide part of the window, including the
titlebar caption.
Possible solutions:
1. POVray remembers the window size and position after changes (best)
2. Size and position can be modified through renderer options
3. Size and position are based on the desktop client area instead of the
screen

Set your taskbar to autohide. You may also disable "On top" so that various
windows can apears over the taskbar.
On my system, the render window always apears at the same location it was in the
last time. It's dimention depends on the resolution of the render.
