Hi, this is my first post here !

Reading the POV-Ray documentation (1.1.5 The Early History of POV-Ray), I
see that D.K.Buck made a proposal for the successor of DKBTrace,

  "I would imagine that there would be
   several packages developed such as:

   STAR Light  - the raytracer
   STAR Guider - an animation system
   STAR Maker - a user interface for StarLight"


Was it just a wish from D.K.Buck, or is it still an objectif for the Pov
team ?

I think it is a wish reached by Mark Shuttleworth, Gilles Tran and Jaime Vives
