SMPOV doesn't seem to be a plugin for pov-ray is that correct?
As I seek a plugin that is cable of using cpu's over the network, FROM
WITHIN pov-ray...
If there is no such plugin at the current time, would anyone condider
helping me write one?... I think I can pull it off, I yust don't know
enough of COM, and how to export en inport things from my program :D A DOS
program is no problem :p

That depends on your definition of "plugin" word. In my definition there is no
plugin to POV-Ray in whole Universe. But I think SMPOV fits your needs at
least partially.

Hi.,
As ABX said, its always good first to try what is there and find out if it
fits your needs. Then you can think of making something better.
Alternatively there is POV-Anywhere (see news). And there is a promisin, yet
unready project from rol### [at] tiscalinetit which is capable of realy
"TCP/IP"-based Internet-rendering.
The state of the project is somehow unready, but if you want to programm
something, you could built on that.
Just write a Mail to Riccardo, he looks for people to continue his unready
work. So currently I would not recommend to develope the wheel new, there is
plenty of choice.
I'll make a post in general about that later.
