I recently started delving into flash. I ended up making a povray banner
add as to help teach me flash, and to add something somewhat to the
community.

Can download the swf at:

http://www.highpoly3d.com/writer/wip/povray.swf

To see what it plays like in proper size, I put her on the highpoly3d site.

 Comments, good/bad?

That's actually quite good. It loaded quite fast. What would the
filesize be for that?

Nice and not too annoying - which is a Good Thing(tm)!

Clicking on it should bring you to the POV site.

Finally, I think the POV-Team doesn't like having POV labeled as an
open-source project. (See http://www.povray.org/povlegal.html for details)

I would go with something like "Raytrace Quality - Raytrace FREEdom" ?

I don't know, something along those lines anyway...

Ok thanks for the input guys. I had always though povray was legaly open
source :P

Did some changes, it's clickable now, and changed the open source line.
The banner is fast because I kept her down to 25.8 kb

  The new add as it:

Seems sometimes it's trouble trying to grab flash movies as no real right
click option.. then just browse my working directory at:

http://www.highpoly3d.com/writer/wip and grab the pov.swf

        That's cool for Flash. Nice.

That works for me. The wording "Years of Experience" is good, and
here's the reason why:

The 'combined' experience of all povers put together must measure in
the hundreds* of years by now - taking into account all the hours
they've put in...

*an over-exaggeration? ;) I think you see what I mean
though...

Heh... that's why I asked about filesize, ya just can't tell for
sure... ;)

But with your first one, it seemed fast so I thought I'd ask
anyway.

Very good though MH, I like it.
