Hello,
As already reported in a message on povray.beta-test on 31/05/2002
by Slime, the "accuracy" keyword is ignored and has no visible
effect, at least when the normal is not declared directly in the
object definition.
In the file normal.cpp, in the function Copy_Tnormal, the Delta field
of the TNORMAL is not copied. By adding the line
New->Delta = Old->Delta;
under the same one copying the Amount, the accuracy keyword is now
taken into account.

Yes, this was already reported in povray.programming group and is also
published in some patched versions.

Being the one who discovered the bug, a few months ago I downloaded the
source and tracked down the problem. I believe I posted it in
povray.programming with a subject along the lines of "i am so excited". It's
one of the bug fixes in Slime-POV.

Was this becouse it was your first visit at http://news.povray.org/ from that
particular computer ? When first visit occur then engine redirects you to the
setup. When you finish setup it should return to the initial link iirc. I have
no ptoblem with the link to http://news.povray.org/

Exactly, it was my first visit from a web browser, usually I read it
with a newsreader. I had to clear the browser's cache too.
Now I can read the message.
