Hi,
if I understood manual on radiosity, each time when new radiosity
point is needed to be calculated (new value of radiosity light in given
<x,y,z>) then always exacly COUNT samples are shooted?
How about use there variation/confidence adaptive algorithm, like this from
focal-blur?
That way radiosity will adapt in two ways - how often new samples should be
taken, and how exacly should they be taken.
IMHO this would in overal improve quality/speed.
For example count 10,1000 - from 10 to 1000 samples each time when re-
calculating, variation 1/64 confidence 0.95 - when to stop looking for new
samples.
