I thought that irtc.org contins POV images (only) and I show everybody
http://www.irtc.org/ftp/pub/stills/2003-04-30/incubus_.jpg
as demonstration how POV is powerfull and then.. zonk, it was done in MAX i
guess? http://www.irtc.org/ftp/pub/stills/2003-04-30/incubus_.txt
How about marking in IRTC exacly witch image is done in POV, in POV+Moray,
POV+(other) or (other)?
Btw how about a nice page in irtc.org/ that will have thumbinals of best-
of-best images? I meen - the welocome ortc.org page looks... vell.. not
very special, ant there is only one image (and it toks some time to newuser
to find Prior rounds link and see the nice galery)

I think this is a nice idea! To my knowledge, a pure POV-Ray gallery with
all the supreme images does not exsist, but there are the official
www.povray.org of course, that comes close. On the front page are
advertisings of posters that are mostly based on POV-Ray images. Te IRTC
also has a clear tendency to feature POV-Ray rendered images. This is based
on tradition.
But that doesn't mean, another gallery with superb images wouldn't be cool.
It would mean, we have to get permission from all the authors, of course.
Well, basically there is always room for expanding the POV-Ray world. Of
course!

Hugo

I like the animations and the accompaning music. They contain, however, the
"worst" you can feed an mpeg compressor; i.e. lots of tiny details and
moving elements.
You must know Jonn Serrie? My favourite space-music artist.

Jonn Serrie? No, but I will look him up. Absolutely right about the
compression - almost hate to make the stuff available because of it. Any
suggestions/recommendations? They sure look nice on miniDV and even DVD,
which is where they end up.
Thanks for the comments.

His music is fantastic; I've got lots of it. I especially enjoy his style
from years ago. Try this link: http://starchronicles.com/video_sample.htm
there are some video samples with his music. Also try:

Not really. Higher bandwidth is required. I suppose you've tried various
mpeg4 compressors? I don't know much about the compression scheme in
RealPlayer; it has it's own standard. I tend to prefer MS Media Player for
it's flexibility (playing lots of codecs). Unfortunately I've got trouble
recently because MediaPlayer will never play streaming content for some
reason....
