In one of mine scenes, refracted photons (casted on plane-like-isosurface
by glass sphere) create some strange waves, even at very high settings
photons { spacing 0.0075 } (sphere radius is 1.0)
Scene took 2 h to shoot photons and total 19 h to render in 800x600 no AA
(Athlon 1,6 512 DDR)
How can I get rid of waves under sphere ? Maybe I should change gather to
increase radius of photns "spots" and connect them togeather ?
Scene is posted in .b.i (006.png - jewels)

Try placing a cat and an open box in the scene and see if that helps....

<extreme puzzlement>?</extreme puzzlement>
Raf256, I replied at p.b.i. that you might be able to fix it using jitter in
global settings photons. If it happens to be a result of the isosurface
instead then I'm not sure what relationship it has with photons.

Heh - bit obscure. In my defence it's been a recent topic in off-topic and I was
considering embarking on the pointless quest of doing the double-split
experiment with photons in Pov when this came up....

I had seen that, didn't read it all. Never even occcured to me that was why
this was brought up here. You know... I think photons might be able to do
anything needed to prove that theory. I say that in jest though.
I just watched a Twilight Zone episode that ended as I went to reply to this
message. A lady that is eventually replaced by her double while she waits
for a bus, and the guy she confides in about it has her taken away by the
police. Then he himself also encounters his duplicate. This reminded me of
the Shrodinger's Cat of quantum theory where particles might be in two
places at once. dee-dee-dee-dee, dee-dee-dee-dee ;-)
