What is the best or easiest way to add a small logo or copyright
notice to a collection of image files? I have a group of images that I
want to label with my name and a copyright notice. Do I have to do
this by hand to each image, or is there some utility that will help me
do this to a large batch of images automatically?
I can use Win95 and DOS software, in case someone knows of a utility
that does what I need.
Thanks,
Glen

Never tried it but it may be possible with imagemagick.

Hi,
There is a utility by Lewis A Sellers called PostTool which can be used to
add a logo to a whole series of frames and runs under DOS. I *think* the URL
is either http://www.public.usit.net/lsellers or
http://www.intrafoundation.com (well, those are the ones in the readme
file), but you will probably find that it is listed somewhere in Ken's
links.
If you have trouble finding it, let me know and I can mail the archive to
you.
Cheers,
Ian.

Hi Glen,
Probably overkill but Photoshop has a batch command feature. Also,
possibly you may be able to make a scriptfile for gimpwin
(www.gimpwin.org) - the win version of Gimp.
Again (I'm no expert) theoretically, you should be able to make a
batch file (.bat) which can open a dos (perhaps windows too) program
(like Compupic, imagemagick?) and run commands on a file, close it and
repeat with another.
Sorry if it's not what you're looking for.
Regards,
-Anoop

pnmcomp, from the netpbm utilities, can do what you need if you put
it in a batch file. I don't have a current URL for windows binaries
for netpbm, but the sources can be found at netpbm.sourceforge.net.
If you haven't rendered the images yet, I think POV 3.5 contains an
include file that makes adding the logo at render time fairly easy.
