| | | I noticed something odd with the pov editor for windows when I decided to
replace a number with some text using the Search/Replace menu item.
When I replaced the number, whether with plain "replace" or "replace all",
the text appears in all upper case. When I tried to replace the "replaced"
text with some lower case text, the lower case text was converted to upper
case as well. Is there some editor setting that I am unaware of that is
causing this? Does this occur for other operating systems as well? Any
info or suggestions will be appreciated.
p.s. for now, if I run into this situation again, I'll just use my word
processor program to replace the numbers.

Did you check the boxes for 'match case' or 'preserve case'? That should
take care of the problem.

I've never come across this problem in Windows. (I assume you're typing ctrl/H
to bring up the 'Find & Replace' menu.) The replaced text *should* show up in
the proper case, even with all the boxes left un-checked. A mystery.
