very usefull, thanks. But could you use a smaller .jpg compression next
time? The quality of some images is not very good (and its not the
radiosity, it shows especialy on the indoor HQ, on the edges of the spheres)

I'm afraid your agressive JPG-compression settings kill the effect 
you're trying to show.

  You should have paid more attention on the jpeg compression parameters
you used for these images.
  These images present pathological cases for jpeg compression, which
causes very visible artifacts. It's difficult to see what are jpeg
artifacts and what are radiosity artifacts.

  Besides using less compression, you should also use 1x1,1x1,1x1 color
sampling (if your image conversion/manipulation program allows configuring
that; if not, use gimp or cjpeg).

  Of course another option is to use png instead of jpeg (remember to
run the png files through advpng and pngcrush to minimize their size).

Yes, I was a bit daft using jpeg for this, I always generate
png then habitually use Imagemagick's convert to make jpegs
for publishing.

Anyway I've replaced the jpegs with the original pngs. Warp,
tx for pointing out that pngcrush utility, it's very useful.
