Folks,
As a newbie,as I learn "stuff" I want to capture and share in the hope that
it will be of useful to others.

I have enclosed a PDF of my recipe for a spiral/spring that is configurable.
If there is a better place to capture, post, share these kinds of goodies,
please let me know.

Neil

Please don't post binary attachments in a non-binary group, for things
like this povray.binaries.tutorials would be appropriate.

A very nice CSG implementation of the f_spiral function. I like it
because it gives more flexibility in making custom spirals. For example
with varying frequency (revolutions per unit height).

Thanks Maurice. To be perfectly honest, I didn't know about isosurfaces and
f_spiral and f_helix1 before I embarked on using sphere_sweep. I am about 4
months old on POVRay and sense I have lots of growing to do.
