Google now has a new search page: Google Scholar
(Note that it is a BETA version)
Of course I had to try to search for POV-Ray there:
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=POV-Ray
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=POVRay
About Google Scholar:
"Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly
literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints,
abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use
Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic
publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and
universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web."
Here's a few other relevant searches:
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=raytracing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=rendering
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=texturing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=lighting
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=3d+graphics+modelling
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=subdivision+surfaces
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=meshes+OR+meshing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=isosurface+OR+isosurfaces
While speaking about Google; I just learned that it has two
other interesting specialized search pages:
http://www.google.com/linux
http://www.google.com/bsd

Also nice is the "Google Alert", it sends you an e-mail when there is
something going on about a given subject.

The past month I got three POValerts:
<http://developers.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/11/24/1358217
&from=rss>
<http://www.directionsmag.com/press.releases/?duty=Show&id=10592>
<http://p2pnet.net/story/2926>
Too keep track of what bloggers have to say about POV-Ray, use the
"technorati" search engine.
http://www.technorati.com/
There is a Technorati API, so one could create a script to daily follow
what's going on in the bloggers world. Have not tried it yet though.
