Nothing, according to the changelog it is actually the same package just 
renamed:

   21 Sep 2004; Daniel Goller <mor### [at] gentooorg> +files/gentoo-3.5.patch,
   -files/gentoo-3.50c.patch, +files/povray-3.5-amd64.patch,
   -files/povray-3.50c-amd64.patch, +povray-3.5.ebuild, 
-povray-3.50c.ebuild:
   to make sure portage knows 3.6.1 is newer than 3.50c ebuild 3.50c 
renamed to
   3.5, moved ebuilds, and patches
