See my post:
"Remastering KNOPPIX to include POV-Ray"
(To povray.general 11. June)
news://news.povray.org:119/40c9c3f5$1@news.povray.org
I have experimented more...
So now these POV-Ray related applications
are more or less working from the CD:
POV-Ray v3.6
QTPov Editor v0.3.4
KPovModeler v1.1.1
Wings 3D v0.98.23b
JPatch v0.2.1
Arbaro v0.9
POV-Tree r1.5b
Terraform v0.9.0
Arabeske v2.0.1
Kandid r0.3.6
Blender v2.32-4
CinePaint v0.18-3
Gimp v2.0.2
Netpbm v10.0-3
ImageMagick v6.0.1.2-1
To do:
- Read licenses
- Get MLPov and MegaPOV to work
- Have a look at POV-Anywhere
- Have a look at IMPFarm v0.61 Client
- Figure out a sensible place to put all the java
programs (Now they are all in /usr/local/java/)
- Make entries in the KDE start menu for all the
startup scripts.
- Add POV-mode for Emacs
- Add support for POV-SDL in Vim
- See if I can get Pyvon to work
- Install 3dto3d
- Have a look at SciTE
- Play with Wine to get Anim8or working
- Preconfigure KNode for reading news.povray.org
- Maybe update Wings to v1.6.1
- Maybe make logo, desktop and boot images
- Maybe add a screensaver to show POV-Ray images
- Collect relevant links for web-browser
- A lot of reorganizing, testing and learning...

In debian, syntax/pov.vim and indent/pov.vim are installed by the
vim-common package. They are also part of the default Windows vim
install. Hopefully this makes your job easier.

Looks good, how about POV-Ray include files?

If you need help with one of those ask. I have not looked into pov-mode
recently but it should not be too much work.

Thank you - I probably will, but I don't know what to
ask yet. (I'll have to read the documentation first.)

I installed it on another Linux box. It worked, but
there were some problems. Now I have forgot about them.
I'll have to try it again before I can ask for help.

Thank you for the info Daniel.
This means that it's probably already on the CD.
=)
I'll check (even if I'm not very fond of vi)
