That is not correct, the documentation only recommends 64 MB of free memory,
and the application is configured to reserve 80 MB by default under Mac OS
9. However, note that this is totally irrelevant on Mac OS X. Also note
that POV-Ray is will run as long as it gets 10 MB of memory under Mac OS 9,
but you still should have 30 MB of memory for it to run as expected when
rendering more than just trivial scenes. Hence, to be useful, 30 MB are
required for POV-Ray 3.6, as stated in the documentation.

To be happy when using POV-Ray and in order to render all sample scenes, you
should have 80 MB of free memory. That was also about the same for POV-Ray
3.5, and believe it or not, there are really people who complain when they
cannot render all sample scenes with the recommended free memory!
Also note that the documentation section "5.4.1.3 Apple Macintosh" of the
"Introduction to POV-Ray" book for some reason was not updated regarding the
operating system versions POV-Ray 3.6 runs on. The up-to-date information
is _only_ in the file "povwhere.txt" also distributed with POV-Ray as well
as on the download page!
