When I edit a scene file in pov-ray, every 20 or so text modifications I
make, the computer freezes for several seconds. It just recently started
happening, and I've used the same build before with no trouble. Although it
only happens in POV-Ray, I assume its something I did to my system or the
operating system. Anybody else experience something similar or know how to
remedy it?

Hmm I thought it was fixed in beta of ver. 3.6 ?
Btw, in 3.6 beta 2 still is simmilar problem with messages output, after
end of rendering, the messages tab is automaticly shown (in lower part of
editor window) and it is scrolling terrible slowly, quite annoing.
When I turned off auto-show render messages, and when I hide messages
window, then after and of rendering I have to wait max 1 second (to flush
output), and without turning it off - about 4 seonds.

Yeah, but I wouldn't be beta testing it, I'd be trying to actually use it.
Plus you have to reinstall when it expires anyway.
