Wow, I had a similar idea but didn't do much with it. It was inteaded
to be some kind of science museum. Maybe we could develop an include
file that makes it easy to create things like walls and ceilings so that
it would be easier for the museums to be expanded.

A few suggestions:

In order to avoid repetition of other sites, consider limiting your
website to the display of pictures created with free software.

In order to avoid topic boredom, you should definitely include and
actively search out categories of non-traditional cg subjects like
still-life and impressionism.

I think that the layout of the site will be less important than how much
initiative you take in contacting artists and requesting permission to
show their works. Once you have developed a significant collection,
additional artists will be excited about adding their pictures.

If the site becomes popular enough, you will need some type of rating
system in order to allow visitors the opportunity to view the most
exciting pictures without searching through pages of crap.

Yes, it's supposed to be for POV artists.

I've thinked about it and i'm implementing it now

I hope to have a first version of the site ready soon, so you can try it and
propose changes and corrections.
