New version of POV-Tree 1.4 is available here:

New features in POV-Tree 1.4:
- Redesigned GUI.
- Added progress bar for lengthy operations (preview,
export and statistics)
- Added multi-threading which helped to make GUI more responsive.
- Internationalization (i18n). All language-dependent resources
(labels, messages) moved to separate files. Due to i18n the
program can be localized to any language now.
- Added support for UV mapped leaves. Multiple textures are
supported. This change caused also some changes in TOMTREE
macro. Use new file TOMTREE-1.4.inc included to archive.
- Added quick image preview to file chooser. Supported formats:
png, gif, jpg.
- Added some shortcuts (see readme.txt).
- Bug fixes.

Hi Gena,
I'm willing to make an italian translation.
I'm downloading the source right now, since I'm a Java developer too I
think I can find out the string resources to translate.
By the way the source archive is labeled "src1.1.zip" is it the current
version or an old one?
Where do I send back the translated resources?

Hi Gena,
I've downloaded the source archive and found no externalized string
resources, so I suspect that archive it's really an older version (1.1
actually).

Have a look into the JAR file of version 1.4. There are property files
for English. I assume that these files have to be edited...
