Hi,

I'm looking for a free 3d model of an IPAQ handheld which I can use
in Povray. Unfortunatly, I'm unable to find one (besides some expensive
3DS models).

Does anybody know where I could download such a model ?

Regards, Johan

iPAQ's aren't exactly that complex, it wouldn't take you long to model one
from scratch

I had been looking through buyable models at turbosquid.com recently and
they have a few of the iPAQ's there, each costing $110. Amounts to a large
part of their real cost, but they did look pretty good.

Could be simple to model; but I guess it would depend on the type of iPAQ,
since some have more stylizing than others. I'm not sure which way would be
best to proceed on such a model, by using mesh or bicubic patch or height
field, etc. Either way, it might require more than writing a text script
out, right? One of those turbosquid models was done using Rhino. Maybe just
kinda 'blob' one together instead... along with some creative CSG. Of
course, the detail level needed matters a lot too.

I only know of calculators made by others here at the povray newsgroups. Not
any iPAQ's, that I can remember anyway.
