Hello everybody.
I want to change the white-grey checker in this window, since it's hard to
me to see some details on some partial renderings. How can i change it?
I remember this background was black in 3.1... am i right or am i loosing my
memory?

Oh, well it was never black.... Only joking. Yes, it changed for version 3.5
so that alpha transparency (+ua switch) could be seen during render time to
see (or not see) transparent objects better. Only solution I have to offer
you is set up a two frame animation so that the first frame is empty and the
second shows your scene. I don't believe there is any way to change it.

Speaking of the render window, it would be nice if we could have an option
to update it after every pixel, rather than after every line. Would be
handy to see how much proress had been made on a slow render that is
spending a really long time on one line.

No, the Mac version combines them at runtime as Mac OS has included a system
function to do this since System 7. So it can be turned on and off
dynamically.

You should know that such a feature really tends to slow down rendering on
GUI systems by a few seconds per image (depending on size) as the drawing
and update consume a lot of time.
