I am looking for a motorcycle model. A superbike. I am not into motorcycles
well enough to do what I want. I really only need the madel to build onother
model out of. It looks just like a motorcycle on most of it but not all.
Anyone know af a free model of a motorcycle with good detail. Or is there
someone here who could built it for me. I do not need the wheels or forks.
Just the body seat handlebars and cowling for the body. Engine is also not
needed. If not I will try my best to build what I need.

If you want a mesh try

There is a very nice BSA (a vintage British bike) on the Moray site that can
be exported to Povray.
BTW I quite agree with what you wrote in the "Suggestion for next release"
thread.

I would love to see a usable model of the new Dodge Tomahawk from the
2003 North American Autoshow. However, unless you broke into their
company and stole the original blue prints it is unlikely you will find
one. ;) lol
There where some fairly complex ones on a CD I got with a magazine a
while back though.. It is possible that you can check at the websites for
3DWorld magazine and Computer Arts magazine. They 'may' have some of the
files for download. However they may have only had them on the CDs too...

Have you seen these? May be worth asking.

They are truly beautiful models, Alf. The models are not offered
for download, though. I guess that's why you suggested it "be
worth asking". I would LOVE to have them, but I wouldn't have
the nerve to ask.

Hey, he uses POV to render!
Probably redundant info. but he has a faq at:
http://www.markvanderkwaak.com/dbbp/cadbikes/howto_1.htm
but specifically (from the faq):
4: Will you send me free CAD models of bikes/engines etc.?
No. Because of the huge amount of work involved in making them I will not give
them away for nothing. Every single day a few people ask me this question and I
always answer that I am willing to trade Cad-parts for Cad-parts of the same
quality, for cash or for real parts if I can use them.

Yup. Nothing ventured, nothing gained :)

Yup again! He posted a trike to p.b.i recently. Can't remember the
subject, but a search on web-pov should find "Duckman".

Didn't see that but as my modem is racing if it manages 38k I don't
get much chance to check all the eye candy :/
