http://www.pst.stsci.edu/spss/doc/file_des/moving_target_ephemeris.shtml

Seems to be spacecraft positioning data?
I guess the answer is: you can't, unless there is a converter somewhere.

Googling for "epm file" results in four completely different file
formats in the first four hits.
1. A file used by TEllite to specify how it should process SGML elements
2. A file that tells Easy Package Manager what to put in a unix
distribution package
3. A file used by SPSS to hold the ephemeris of moving targets
4. Files produced by the EPM text editor, which comes with OS/2 Warp

Yes, that is exactly what I had tried at first, too. And none seems to be
particularly useful for generating images or as image format :-)
