For those of you bored over Xmas, The Lord of The Rings - Two Towers
is topical right now. The towers are real and either should be a cinch
in pov ;)

And both are visible here:

Or Google them, allow for word-wrap:

Have fun

I would love to try this one but I don't know how to make the clouds :)

I think Gilles Tran's Fast Clouds would help a lot to get close.

I would worry about the towers first - details like the clouds are no real
problem (depending on how you plan to render)

They are a bit on the simple side, aren't they? I like more of a
challenge in the buildings I model. :)

All right, if I get too frustrated trying to get MakeTree to do what I
want, I might give Perrott's Folly a try. Now, where do I get the
hundreds of detail fotos I usually work from?

I believe the prohibition notice would be the hardest.

Of course... cinch = easy, and some people's concentration may not be
so good around now ;)

If you are serious, I have a b&w scan that is a bit more detailed than
I've seen on the net. With some cars near the base of one to give
scale.

BTW - useless info Nr.1, the square job is a chimney.

I'm not promising anything, but I would like to see the scan. Could you
mail it to me? See the address above.

That would be the other tower?

2 greyscale jpegs - 76K and 107K.
I'll leave them here for a couple of weeks.

Ok, got 'em. They suffer a bit from jpeg artefacts.

I think I'll stick to Perrotts, there is simply too many details on the
other one, that isn't clear on the photos.

I haven't found any pictures of Perrott's that show the side opposite
the cylindrical part, nor the bottom part of the tower, where I assume
the entrance must be, so it is not gonna be a very precise model.
