Hi, all
Anyone can confirm this bug probably related to an installer
misconfiguration:
1-Execute the povwin.exe installer
2-Choose to install POV in a custom directory, rejecting the proposed path
3-Indicate not to make backups
The proposed installation directory (usually C:\Program files\PovRay for
Windows 3.5) is created empty, at first run an EAccessViolation is thrown
and the editor window is unavailable, the sounds in the Control Panel applet
refer to a wrong path, at second run the editor window is available.
None of the problems above occur if the proposed path is accepted.
Platform: Windows 2000 Professional, Dual Celeron 400Mhz, RAM 256Mb, POV 3.5
final
Alessandro
