Under win2000, explorer crashed when I had POV running in the system tray.

POV is still running*, but no longer shows in the system tray. Any ideas how I
can restore it, or stop it neatly so that I can continue the trace? I'm worried
that just ending the process in task manager will leave me with a mangled bmp
(and this is day 6 of a render).

*well, it shows as a process in Task Manager

If you have set "keep single instance" in POV, it will reopen if you try to
start a new POV engine.. Otherwise, try opening a new engine and actually
SET the "keep single instance" feature, then quit and try opening it again..
Your old POV should now appear (I would think).

Hugo

Yep (option B)!

I figured this out a minute ago (I always turn the "keep single instance" option
off), and was feeling well chuffed with myself.

I was just about to post here to see if anyone could guess how to do it.

I'm now going to pause POV and make a copy of the image (for a continue-trace)
to prevent any further panic-attacks.
