Hi all,

I recently created a website for a friend
(http://www.blueprintbuilding.co.uk).
The image for the site was created in POV-Ray. I then used a combination of
batch files and
ImageMagick to chop the image up into GIFs which are then used in an HTML
table on the
webpage.

I know this is a bit of a mad approach to image-splicing, but has anyone
else done anything similar.
It would be great if you could add some metadata to a POV image (or
associated file) in which you
could specify how an image was spliced.

Any comments?

Reuben

This is my company's very dated website. The technique works well, however.

If you would set width and height for images then watching while loading
could be pleasure.

Unfortunately, I'd have to relearn some html just to do that. I crammed
enough into my head in one weekend to make the website. Of course I forgot
most of it as quickly as I'd learned it. I need to remake the entire
website, but I have too many things I'd rather be doing with my time.

p.s. Usually one wouldn't have to wait for the graphics to load because the
front page of the site is a site map with minimal graphics which pre-loads
the rest of the images for the site.
