In Tips in 3.5RC2 there is a sentence: "By default, POV-Ray for Windows will
not allow you to start multiple copies of itself. This seems to be the
behaviour that most people want."

Second sentence is true in case of almost all applications I use, but POV-Ray
is special type of software - I can't render second image in the same process.
I rarely have only one instance started and when click icon second time I
usually do it to luanch new instance becouse I need new render process. I now
that I have one CPU and new instance share time but I just new fast render
when long render persist for nights. That's not a problem for me to turn "Keep
Single Instance" off (and optionally pause other tasks) - but I wonder some
question: how many instances/simoultanously renderings of POV-Ray have you
started usually ?

Mostly 2: one very slow rendering (or queue of renderings) that takes many
hours or even days and another that I use for test/shorter/faster
renderings. Usually I give slow one a lower priority so I don't really
notice a slowdown of my computer. That way I'm assured that I'm using all
the cpu cycles available.
