Hi All:
My name is Mitchell Waite and I am the former publisher of RAY TRACING
CREATIONS, the first (and only) POV Ray specific book.
With all the fantastic new improvements in POV Ray I am thinking about
publishing a new title on POV Ray and I was wondering what the interest
level is.
Also I am looking for potential writers and contributors. Please feel free
to email me privately as well as let the group know how you feel about this
idea.
You can see the books I published at www.mitchwaite.com Click on the Books
menu item.
thanks,
Mitchell Waite

Is this somehow realted to the book survey recently started on povray.org:
http://www.povray.org/survey1.html
If not, it might be a good idea not to have two books on the same topic...
Anyway i like the idea, but i personally would prefer a not so much 'how
to create a reflective sphere on checkered ground scene' style book but
more a collection of individual chapters on specific topics.

I don't think it's related to that in any way.

Probably a good idea.

A wonderful idea.

No, in no way related. I only heard of Mitch's idea a few days ago (via
another person). I presume therefore that it is unlikely that Mitch is
considering an 'official' book (unlike the previous WGP POV books, which
were all authored by POV-Team members, and from which those team members
derived royalties.)

Err, are any of the two book projects related to *this* book project:
http://povworld.de/book
?

1) no (well, at least, mine isn't), and
2) what 'two book projects' ? ;)
I'm doing a survey to determine if it's worth doing a book. Technically,
therefore, I don't have a 'book project' per se. But I might have one if
enough people indicate they are interested.
