Hey all, i'm new to POV, but i'm wondering why POVray doesn't use both of my
CPUs? is there a setting i'm missing, or is it just not a multithreaded
application? If its not, any chance of haveing this feature in latter
versions?
thanx

Thanx for the info.
So no hope for multithreading in the future? would it be so difficult to
let one CPU render one half the image, and the other render the other half
(basicly do what trueSpace does..its not true multithreading of one prosess,
but it works)? Just a thought, i'm no programmer, so......

The official POV-Team response in the past has been that they will not
be working on a multithreading version of the program. That is not to
say that someone else will never do it but don't expect the POV-Team
to do so.

Did you read the FAQ answer?
Anyway, as this topic has been discussed _to_death_ on this server, just
search for any of the numerous threads that start at least once per month...

We don't mind questions and we don't mind answering them. Occasionally
we do tire of people challenging our answers when we have spent
considerable time answering them in the past. That is the reason we
started the VFAQ, We can easily point people to an answer to a
frequently asked question with the full knowledge that they are getting
the correct information that they are looking for.
