I am trying to trace an isosurface in pov beta 8 under windows, tracing the
standard isosurface in the help file:

isosurface {
    function { x } open
    contained_by { box { -2, 2 } }
  }

I see no reason why it will not work, even in the vc++ compile, anyone know
of a fix?

That's a (old) problem with beta 8. Add #declare foo=function{0} before the
Iso and everything should work.

If you have problems with POV-Ray 3.5 beta it is a good idea to check the
povray.beta-test group first.  Please read:
