I seem to have lost my link to the upload page for the 10 best cd.

Just realized that there are only 3 days until the revised deadline.

Hopefully that's the latest one.

I can't seem to get any scenes completed the way I want too and then render
a final version. Bet I won't have anything to upload, or if I do it'll be
"unfinished".

    Thanks, seems to work.

I've only got three. I have more but I would need a year to re-do
them... my reconsidered evaluation of "best" makes most of what I used to
think was pretty good seem pretty bad.

We had roughly 240 images in the 10best collection yesterday.

There are 125 people who said in the survey that they would be interested in
10best collection.

There are roughly 60 folks (I'm way too lazy to parse the precise number!)
who have participated in uploads.

Many are just doing 2-3 images.

Hopefully everyone will swamp server in next few days.

I really don't know what kind of fundraising effort can be done with a mere
300 images.

What I learned while organizing the POV-Ray Logo Contest is that you have to
wait much longer for many people to participate than you'd expect. Much of
the good stuff comes with a big delay. And even with timeframes that sound
way to long, some people manage to just miss the deadline after the contest
is finally closed...

Maybe the banner ads could be changed to say something like "Get your 10
best POV-Ray images distributed on an official POV-Ray CD-ROM for FREE!" ;)

As said before, i don't think it's a good idea to extend the submission
period much longer, material already submitted gets outdated.
