Anyone know of a good converter preferably free or not too expensive to
buy??
I've downloaded various ones but they can't seem to cope with the DXF file,
not sure if it's to do with the AME 3D models or the program.
So currently I'm exporting in AutoCAD to a 3DS file and then convert, but
then the shapes are blocky :o(
Any help would be great, thank you in advanced.

The best is probably 3dWin (www.stmuc.com/thbaier) which, in general,
does a wonderful job.But I don't know whether it handles the stuff
AME3d stuff: Many times, I've found, even Autocad won't properly open
files thrown at it from ADT, AME etc (though those were .dwg, not
.dxf).
One solution to this would be to export .3ds. Another: when exporting
.dxf, specify dxf14 (or 13 or 12) : a lot of programs, including 3dWin
don't open dxf2000.
Hope this helps.
