Hello,

is displacement mapping supported in Pov? Of course, heightfields are
displacement mapping, but is there another way to do it?

thanks

You are better of to explain what you want to do and then get an answer
based on that. By just asking for a feature you will unlikely get feedback
on a good solution if it is not (like displacement mapping isn't) supported.

Frequently users tend to ask for features they have read or heard about in
some other program and think something isn't possible if it isn't available.
However, frequently there are easier solutions than with some particular
feature you may think you need to solve a problem but really don't need :-)

So, what do you want to do?

It looks like you really need MegaPov. With it you can use some kind of
displacement mapping with isosurfaces.
