Is it possible to create a clip mapping in PovRay? In order to control the
shape of an heightfield, for example...

Thanks

For a height_field you may want to try "water_level" for basic control. If
you want more control over the "clipping", check out the section about CSG
in the POV-Ray documentation/helpfile. It explains how to create a
difference or intersection of two or more objects.
