I am making a streep lamp for a scene that I am working on and I am using
MegaPov and I was wondering if megapovs glow function emits light? kinda
like a light source but as a glowing ball .

It sure does. This one of the applications it is well suited for.

Glows do not emit light. If you have radiosity turned on, they can be
used to illuminate the scene, but this works the same way an object with
a very high ambient does, they do not give off light.
However, you can apply a glow effect to a light_source...

No it does not. Only when using radiosity they will affect
illumination but then mostly everything will.
