This doesn't make sense with a good download. If you have a proxy or
caching, bypass it or forbid caching. If you do not, try downloading
it through ftp.
Once you have a working archive, copy it to a temp directory and
extract it with tar -zxf and look for any README or Install or some
other file with an obvious name.

Yes, I saw that, but to me it looks like it was simply copy and
pasted into the body of the message. Netscape is generally very
good about identifying attachments and in this case none were
present of identified as such.

Yes I got a binary attachment here. It was a uuencoded text
file, the file was only about 15 lines long after decoding.

To me, using Outlook Express, it comes up as an attachment that I have to
open in Notepad.

Thank you everyone for your help. I re-d/l'd the file and was finally able
to get it installed. I suspect a corrupted cache file. It is now working
greatly.
