I recently posted an image to povray.binaries.images;
"The Cubic Space Division experiences an earthquake - 1 attachment"
but it does not show up here:
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.images/
Is it the rather long subject line that is causing this ?
- Or are there other problems ?
I'm using Xnews v. 5.04.25 -> http://xnews.newsguy.com/

As far as I know that web view does not update in real time like a normal
new program does. You will have to wait until the webview does an update
from the server.

Hmmm... I may be mistaken. My reply appeared but the original is missing.
Thorsten will hopefully be along to explain this abnormality.

BTW: SciTech was recently looking for web interface for their news server
(news.openwatcom.org) and since I remembered Chris Cason is/was somehow in
relation with SciTech (at least this is written in his sig at
http://www.gamers.org/dEngine/quake/archive/a_march96/0004.html) I suggested
looking at engine at news.povray.org. Seems they are not interested but it made
me wonder if is this engine supposed to be released or it is for POV only ?

The last post in the newsgroup web view is:

I can't tell you yet what changed in your messages since then ... they don't
even seem to ever have appeared in the web view internal input. I suppose
something is rejecting them before they make it to the webview...

Does this mean that there might be a problem with my setup ?

Did anything change on your side since 2003-05-27 22:01:27? It would really
help figuring out what is going wrong. It could be on either side.
Unfortunately the web view tends to be very picky about the few standards
that exist in message header formats.

Yes. I had problems with Win98SE a couple of days ago. It was unstable,
so I uninstalled some programs and reinstalled some drivers and other
programs. But IIRC I have not changed anything around Xnews.

I posted a message through the web interface for more than 30 minutes ago,
but that one did not show up in the web view either.
See details below.

I have similar problems.
On my 'pipetree' thread on p.b.i. there are 13 postings using the news
server via outlook. Only 5 of them can be seen via web view.
I never had a similar problem.
